Flying ants and swarming termites look similar but have key differences:

**Termites:** straight waist, straight antennae, two equal-sized wings that shed after swarming, typically swarm in early spring when warm and rainy.

**Flying Ants:** skinny waist, bent antennae, one set of wings larger than the other, swarm timing varies by species.
